Jennings Contract Extension, Kittle Recovery; 3 Takeaways from OTAs Week 2

The All-Pro tight end has been on hand for the team's OTAs but on the sidelines of practice as he recovers from core muscle surgery. Kittle shared that his injury was something he was dealing with midway through the 2023 season, and he and Charvarius Ward underwent surgeries within a week of each other for similar injuries. Kittle added that he is "progressing as planned" and on track to return in time for training camp in late July.

49ers Sign WR Jauan Jennings to One-Year Extension

The San Francisco 49ers announced the team has signed WR Jauan Jennings to a one-year extension through the 2025 season.

Jennings (6-3, 212) was originally selected in the seventh round (217th overall) by the 49ers in the 2020 NFL Draft. After spending his rookie season on the team's practice squad, Jennings has appeared in 45 games (seven starts) and registered 78 receptions for 963 yards and seven touchdowns in the three seasons since (2021-23). Jennings has also appeared in nine postseason games with San Francisco where he's tallied 20 receptions for 221 yards and one touchdown.

Christian McCaffrey Plays Piano to Honor U.S. Military | Off the Field

On this year's Memorial Day, Christian McCaffrey displayed his talents on the keys to honor the U.S. military. The San Francisco 49ers running back performed an acoustic version of Zach Bryan's "El Dorado" alongside his future brother-in-law, pianist Gus Culpo.

The song "El Dorado" has a special significance, since McCaffrey teamed up with the Grammy-nominated country music star to support America's military community through music.
