With the NFL Draft fast approaching, mock drafts are beginning to reveal clearer trends for the San Francisco 49ers at No. 27 overall.
In this week's roundup, analysts have largely focused on reinforcing the trenches, projecting mainly offensive and defensive linemen, while also mixing in a potential offensive playmaker for head coach Kyle Shanahan's system.
Take a look at the latest projections from NFL Draft analysts:
- T.J. Parker - EDGE, Clemson
"Parker would be good insurance as Nick Bosa returns to action and could team up well with Mykel Williams, making for a big, athletic group up front."
- Kenyon Sadiq - TE, Oregon
"This is the second time I've mocked Sadiq to the 49ers this year. He would be an amazing new toy for Kyle Shanahan."
- Caleb Lomu - OT, Utah
"Lomu's still growing as a run blocker, but his natural pass-protection skills are first-round worthy."
- T.J. Parker - DE, Clemson
"Parker is the kind of versatile D-lineman the 49ers did not get in free agency. His 2025 season was not as strong as 2024, but he turned heads during top-notch competition at the Senior Bowl."
- Caleb Banks - DT, Florida
"... The 49ers lean on Banks' ability to get to the quarterback. He did so 4.5 times in 2024 before missing most of the 2025 season with a foot injury."
- Akheem Mesidor - EDGE, Miami
"The 49ers like taking wide receivers and defensive linemen in the first round and — would you look at that! — those are among their biggest needs this year. We have the team going with Akheem Mesidor, a powerfully built edge rusher who had 12.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss last season and made his biggest marks against top-end talent in the playoffs. Indiana receiver Omar Cooper Jr. was oh-so-tempting at this spot, and it's entirely possible Kyle Shanahan would be unable to resist snagging him here (the 49ers will host Cooper on a visit next month). The rationale, however, is that there will be more enticing wideouts — Germie Bernard? Ted Hurst? Elijah Sarratt? — than edge rushers available when San Francisco's on the clock again late in Round 2."
- Keldric Faulk - EDGE, Auburn
"At 6-foot-5 and 276 pounds with 34-inch arms, Faulk is too big and too good a run defender to fall much further in this draft. He can help anchor against the double teams from the Rams' duo-heavy scheme, too. Faulk posted an 85.5 PFF run-defense grade in 2025, with 20 run stops and a 1.3-yard average depth of tackle. The 49ers will hope he can eventually develop into a more productive pass rusher, given his size, length and athleticism."
- Blake Miller - OT, Clemson
"You probably see an offensive tackle to San Francisco and think 'Trent Williams heir apparent.' But Miller actually played 97 percent of his college snaps on the right side... The 6-7, 317-pound Miller would bring consistency and reliability to this O-line."
- Monroe Freeling - OT, Georgia
- Caleb Lomu - OT, Utah
"... San Francisco has to enact some sort of succession plan for protecting Brock Purdy's blind side. Having Lomu face the NFC West's various bullies on the edge might make for a rough introduction to the NFL, but a patient approach to his development could produce a talented pass protector."
