The list of San Francisco 49ers featured in NFL Network's annual "Top 100 Players" kicks off with running back Christian McCaffrey, who was unveiled at No. 73.
Being named to the "Top 100 Players of 2025" is yet another recognition for the dual-threat back, who continues to be one of the league's most respected offensive weapons. After a historic 2023 campaign in which he led the NFL in scrimmage yards (2,203) and total touchdowns (21) while earning AP Offensive Player of the Year honors, McCaffrey's 2024 year was cut short after just four games. But even in limited action, he tallied 202 rushing yards and 146 receiving yards.
In his eight-year career, McCaffrey has played in 95 games, rushing for 6,387 yards and 52 touchdowns while averaging 67.2 rushing yards per game. Through the air, he's added 4,466 receiving yards on 524 receptions with 29 touchdowns. The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time AP First-Team All-Pro remains one of the most versatile offensive players in the NFL.
The "Top 100 Players of 2025" is a video series produced by NFL Films, highlighting the league's elite talents and is now being revealed on X and streaming on NFL+. The top 10 will be announced on Sunday, September 1 at 5 p.m. PT live on NFL Network.
The "NFL Top 100" began ahead of the 2011 season, and the list is determined by current NFL players voting on their peers based on their body of work from the previous year.
