5 Things to Know: 49ers Week 12 Contest vs. Carolina Panthers

The San Francisco 49ers return home for Week 12 as they host the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football at Levi's® Stadium. Fans can look forward to a big-time NFC matchup, the 49ers My Cause My Cleats showcase, and a live performance of Queen's greatest hits.

My Cause My Cleats Game

Week 12's Carolina Panthers vs. 49ers "Monday Night Football" contest at Levi's® Stadium will spotlight the My Cause My Cleats initiative presented by Shoe Palace. Players will showcase custom-designed cleats representing causes close to their hearts. This year, 38 49ers players are participating, supporting a range of nonprofits and organizations through this league-wide program. Coaches and staff will also join in, continuing their involvement since first participating in 2021. Panthers Week 12 Outlook

The Panthers are coming into "Monday Night Football: on a hot streak, having won three straight road games. Quarterback Bryce Young is coming off a franchise-record 448 passing yards in Week 11 and has won five of his last six starts. Carolina's running game, led by Rico Dowdle (833 yards, five touchdowns), and top receiver Tetairoa McMillan (748 yards, four touchdowns) has been strong, ranking top 10 in rushing and 4th-down conversions. Keep an eye on Young and McMillan as the 49ers look to slow down Carolina's high-powered offense.

49ers Week 12 Outlook

The 49ers are coming off a dominant win against Arizona in Week 11. Quarterback Brock Purdy returned from injury and revitalized the offense against the Cardinals, completing 73.1 percent of his passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns last week. Running back Christian McCaffrey (1,439 scrimmage yards) and tight end George Kittle (27 receptions, five receiving touchdowns) continue to create matchup nightmares, with Kittle recording four receiving touchdowns since Week 8, tied for most in the NFL among tight ends. San Francisco has beaten Carolina in their last two meetings and will look to extend their streak on Monday night.

The Native American Women Warriors will serve as the color guard, while the Frontline Hero of the Game honors Battalion Chief of the Yocha Dehe Fire Department, the only Native American fire department in the world with international accreditation. At halftime, Canadian singer Marc Martel will perform Queen's greatest hits, presented by Mountain Mike's Pizza.

Corgi Race Returns

The Corgi Race returns in Week 12, with Tony and Nani going head-to-head. Tony is the 49ers reigning three-time Corgi Cup champion and has appeared on SportsCenter's top 10 plays. The winner will move one step closer to the K9ers Corgi Cup, set for January 3rd or 4th, 2026, during halftime of the regular season finale against the Seahawks.
