The San Francisco 49ers are closing out Week 3 practices while managing a handful of key injuries ahead of Sunday's matchup. Several starters have been limited throughout the week, while others are trending in a positive direction.
Among the most notable updates, quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder/toe) has been limited all week but expressed optimism about his progress:
"It's been a day-to-day thing this week, and I feel like I'm happy with the progress that I've been making with my foot and toe," Purdy said. "So more than anything, it's just going to be a day-to-day thing on how I feel."
Head coach Kyle Shanahan also weighed in on Purdy's availability: "Yeah, a lot of progress. I thought he had a good week. Hopefully we can get him up for the game… Just see how he does tomorrow. Just talking to him, I think it's highly unlikely that he'll start, but just trying to see where he's at to see if he could be a two or an emergency three (quarterback)."
The team also saw rookie offensive lineman Connor Colby (groin) appear on the injury list late in the week. Colby was limited on Friday and is officially questionable heading into Sunday. Asked about the next man up if Colby can't go, Shanahan said: "It could be Drew Moss, it could be Nick Zakelj... some more guys I could probably mention, but most likely one of those two."
Wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle/shoulder) and offensive lineman Spencer Burford (knee) both missed practice this week, while tackle Trent Williams (knee), fullback Kyle Juszczyk (concussion), and defensive back Siran Neal (concussion) returned as full participants on Friday. Rookie running back Jordan James (finger) practiced in full all week and is expected to be available.
Below is the complete Week 3 Game Status Report from Friday:

The 49ers will continue to monitor players listed on the report through the weekend. Final decisions on gameday availability will be announced 90 minutes prior to kickoff in Santa Clara.
