Jones Set to Start TNF; Pearsall, Jennings OUT; Inactives for Week 5 #SFvsLAR

The San Francisco 49ers have finalized their inactive list ahead of Thursday night's Week 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. With rosters limited to 48 active players on gameday, several players will be sidelined for the primetime divisional contest at SoFi Stadium.

Quarterback Brock Purdy, who has been working back from a toe injury, was officially ruled out on Wednesday. In his place, Mac Jones will step in as the starter, with newly elevated Adrian Martinez active as the backup.

"I've had a few of these Thursday night deals before and it happens fast," Jones said. "You just have to stick to your rules and it's a quick week... I have a good system that I believe in and the coaches definitely have us ready to play. That's your job as a quarterback, whether you're a starter or a backup."

Jones also noted he'll "probably" have his knee brace on in tonight's game. The 49ers will also be without wide receivers Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) and Ricky Pearsall (knee), both of whom were ruled out on Wednesday. To bolster depth at the position, the team elevated receiver Malik Turner from the practice squad. On the defensive side, C.J. West (thumb) was listed as questionable but is active for the Week 5 contest, while defensive lineman Robert Beal Jr. (ankle) and linebacker Nick Martin are sidelined.
