Christian McCaffrey's Bye Week Plan and Return Outlook

The San Francisco 49ers head into the Bye week at .500 on the year following their 30-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football." The team's win coincided with a holiday that veteran All-Pro George Kittle helped create - National Tight Ends Day - so it's fitting he emerged as the team's receiving yards leader and one of San Francisco's top offensive performers from Week 8.

George Kittle Nominated for FedEx Air & Ground Player of Week 8

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is one of six players nominated for the FedEx Air & Ground Player of Week 8 Award after posting six catches for 128 yards and touchdown versus the Dallas Cowboys. With these impressive numbers, the All-Pro veteran was also able to hit a couple of career milestones, eclipsing 500 career receptions and moving into the No. 3 spot on the franchises all-time receiving yards leaders list (6,777 yards). Kittle now sits behind Hall of Fame wide receivers Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens. The cherry on top of Kittle's standout performance is that it went down on National Tight Ends Day, a league-wide holiday he helped create.
