The San Francisco 49ers are taking flight to Houston to face the Texans in Week 8. The team released the final injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup at NRG Stadium.
Three key pieces of SF's offense, quarterback Brock Purdy (toe), wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee), and center Jake Brendel are officially ruled out for Sunday's game. Offensive lineman Spencer Burford had his practice window opened at the beginning of the week and is officially ruled as limited for what could be his first game back from a knee injury.
As for the defense, DB Deommodore Lenoir (quadricep) has also been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. Lenoir returned to practice on Friday afternoon in a limited capacity. The defensive back's name first appeared on the injury report on Wednesday after head coach Kyle Shanahan shared that Lenoir expressed some concern about his quad after the "Sunday Night Football" game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.
Ahead of this week's contest, there's a possibility that WR Brandon Aiyuk's practice window could open as early as next week, although it's no guarantee.
"I believe he's getting a lot closer," Shanahan said. "It could (be next week). I think we are week-to-week now, so hopefully it will be sooner than later."
