San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Piñeiro has earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors following his standout performance in the team's Week 5 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. The veteran kicker was perfect on the day, converting all four of his field goal attempts (from 37, 20, 59 and 41 yards) and both of his extra point tries.
Piñeiro's 59-yard make in the first half marked the longest field goal of his career and the second-longest in franchise history.
His accuracy and consistency helped San Francisco earn a win in the divisional matchup, as the 49ers remained unbeaten in the NFC West with a statement victory over the Rams.
