The San Francisco 49ers returned from their Week 14 Bye and put together a complete performance on both sides of the ball, defeating the Tennessee Titans 37-24 at Levi'sÂź Stadium in Week 15. Here are five takeaways from the Week 15 win:
Purdy Sets the Tone
Quarterback Brock Purdy was in command from the opening drive, finishing the day 23-of-30 for 295 passing yards and three touchdowns while adding 44 rushing yards on the ground. He spread the ball around effectively and used his legs to extend drives. Purdy put together scores in every quarter, including a two-touchdown third quarter that put the 49ers far ahead.
Jennings Makes the Most of His Opportunities
Wide receiver Jauan Jennings delivered in key moments, scoring on each of his first two receptions. His four-yard touchdown catch late in the first quarter opened the scoring, and he followed it up with a 13-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter. Jennings finished with three catches for 37 yards, continuing to prove his value as a red zone weapon.
Pearsall Leads the Receiving Attack
Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall paced all pass catchers with six receptions for 96 yards, consistently moving the chains. Tight end George Kittle wasn't far behind, hauling in eight catches for 88 yards and a touchdown, including a one-yard score late in the third quarter.
Mustapha Made the Stops
Safety Malik Mustapha was all over the field, leading the defense with 10 total tackles. His presence was felt against both the run and passing game, helping limit Tennessee's explosive plays and force multiple punts throughout the afternoon. The 49ers defensive unit held the Titans to just 10 points through the first three quarters.
Piñeiro Delivers a Perfect Return
In his first game back from a hamstring injury, kicker Eddy Piñeiro was flawless. He converted all three of his field goal attempts and all four extra points, accounting for 13 points in the win. His makes from 33, 37, and 40 yards in the second half helped San Francisco maintain control and seal the victory.
The 49ers will now turn their attention to a primetime matchup, heading into "Monday Night Football" next week to take on the Indianapolis Colts.
