Stats and Facts: A Breakdown by the Numbers of the 49ers 2025 Draft Class

The San Francisco 49ers came away from the 2025 NFL Draft with an 11-man draft class that largely addressed positions of need on the roster. For the first time during their tenure, president of football operations/general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan opened up the draft with five-straight defensive picks before opting to add depth at wide receiver, running back, quarterback, and the offensive line on Day 3. Six of the 49ers 11 picks were dedicated to the defense with three of those focused on fortifying the D-line.

Let's take a look at some of the most impressive stats from the 2025 draft class' college careers and/or the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine:

DL Mykel Williams, Georgia

  • Williams led the Bulldogs in sacks his freshman year (4.5) and racked up 14 sacks over the course of his three-year collegiate career.
  • He closed out his senior year with 8.5 tackles for a loss of 52 yards to finish third of all Bulldog tacklers in this category.

DL Alfred Collins, Texas

  • Collins led all Texas defensive linemen with seven pass breakups, which was good for fourth-most on the team regardless of position.
  • The defensive lineman has a wingspan of 85 inches.

LB Nick Martin, Oklahoma State

  • Martin recorded 140 total tackles to rank as the most by any Cowboy since 1984, the most by any Big 12 player since 2018, the second-most of any Power Five player for the season, the sixth-most of any FBS player for the year and the sixth-most in a season in OSU history.
  • He was one of three Power Five players and five FBS players to record multiple 17-tackle games during the 2023 season.

CB Upton Stout, Western Kentucky

  • Stout recorded 7.5 tackles for a loss of 24 yards to lead the Hilltoppers in this category for the 2024 season.
  • He ran a 4.44 40-yard dash and 1.51 10-yard split at the NFL combine.

DL C.J. West, Indiana

  • West was part of a 2024 Hoosiers defense that set program bests for games holding an opponent under 100-yards rushing (eight), fewest total yards rushing allowed (1,043), lowest opponent scoring average (15.6) and fewest yards of total offense (3,332) and total offense per game (256.3)
  • He earned an 88.1 run defense grade from Pro Football Focus for his performance during the 2024 season.

WR Jordan Watkins, Ole Miss

  • Watkins finished his three-year career with Ole Miss ranked tied for eighth in 100-yard receiving games (six), ninth in receiving yards (2,096) and tied for ninth in receptions (142).
  • He was one of 11 Rebel receivers to ever break 2,000 career yards in program history.

RB Jordan James, Oregon

  • James ended his three-year career at Oregon tied for fifth all-time with 31 career rushing touchdowns and tied for ninth all-time with a career rushing average of 5.74 yards per carry.
  • He ranked 11th in Oregon single-season rushing yards history and tied for ninth in rushing touchdowns (15).

S Marques Sigle, Kansas State

  • Sigle tied for eighth in the Big 12 in interceptions, ranked third in interception-return yards (92) and tied for second with an interception-return touchdown during the 2024 season.
  • In 2024, he ranked fourth on the team with 60 tackles to go along with 6.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and six total passes defended.

QB Kurtis Rourke, Indiana

  • Rourke is tied for No. 10 on the Indiana program history in career passing touchdowns charts (29) with Michael Penix Jr. (2019-21).
  • He led the Big Ten and was the No. 7-rated passer amongst Power 4 quarterbacks and earned a (88.4) passer rating, per Pro Football Focus.

OL Connor Colby, Iowa

  • Colby helped paved the way for Iowa's offense to rush for 200-plus yards in eight games during the 2024 season, which is the most since 2015.
  • In 2024, the team's 197.2 rushing yards per game ranked third in the Big Ten and 24th nationally and was the most for the program since 2002.

WR Junior Bergen, Montana

  • Bergen capped his four-year career at Montana tied for the most punt return touchdowns in NCAA FCS history with eight to his name.
  • He average of 16.71 yards per punt return which is good for third all-time in Big Sky history behind EWU's Cooper Kupp (17.0) and Weber State's Randle Anderson (18.48).
