Day 10 of 2026 Training Camp: Offense Makes Plays Ahead of Titans Joint Practice

The San Francisco 49ers returned to the SAP Performance Facility on Monday for Day 10 of Training Camp presented by Visa and their final practice before welcoming the Tennessee Titans for a joint session on Tuesday.

The team hosted its annual nonprofit Day, welcoming 13 local organizations to practice as part of the 49ers Foundation's Community Corner. 49ers alumni Jerry Rice and Keena Turner were also in attendance, along with NFL Network's Omar Ruiz and Ian Rapoport.

PRACTICE NOTES

Offense:

With McCaffrey and Black sidelined, the 49ers continued to get an extended look at the rest of their running back room. Running backs Patrick Taylor Jr., Sincere McCormick, and Khalil Herbert all saw opportunities throughout team periods, with Taylor Jr. breaking through a gap for a run down the left side and Herbert adding a few strong runs with yards after contact.

Offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak noted before practice that the absences have created additional opportunities.

"Anytime the guys are out, it lets guys step up and gives them opportunities," Kubiak said.

The passing game turned in several explosive plays during 11-on-11 work. QB Brock Purdy connected with WR De'Zhaun Stribling on a deep touchdown down the right sideline, drawing cheers from the crowd. WR Deebo Samuel Sr. also turned a Purdy completion into a run to the end zone after Purdy threaded the pass through multiple defenders.

WR Demarcus Robinson was another frequent target on Monday. Robinson impressed during 1-on-1 drills against CB Upton Stout and later connected with Purdy multiple times during the final team period, including a deep ball down the left side. QB Mac Jones also found Robinson for a completion earlier in 11-on-11 work.

Defense:

Stout continues to have an impressive camp. We watched the second-year player go head-to-head with 11-year veteran Robinson during 1-on-1s. While other players mixed up matchups, Robinson and Stout stayed pitted against each other for a total of three reps.

On the first play, Stout had tight coverage on Robinson, but a high, perfectly placed throw from Purdy allowed Robinson to reach up and make the catch. Stout answered on the next rep, reaching a hand in front of Robinson's chest on a short pass and knocking the ball away.

Then in the final play of the drill, with a pass headed toward the corner of the end zone, Stout and Robinson battled for position before Stout got in front of the throw and came down with the interception.

The battle between the two was one of the most exciting parts of practice.

Other notable defensive plays during team drills included a CB Jack Jones interception, while LB Tatum Bethune added a pass breakup late in practice.

What's Next:

The 49ers will welcome the Tennessee Titans to the SAP Performance Facility on Tuesday for a joint practice ahead of Thursday's preseason opener at Levi's® Stadium.
