San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week following his dominant performance in the team's 20-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
The All-Pro fueled the offense with 24 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 5.4 yards per attempt, while adding seven receptions for 72 yards on eight targets in the Week 7 win over the Falcons.
His 201 total yards from scrimmage marked his first 200-yard game as a member of the 49ers and the first by any San Francisco player since 2020. McCaffrey's 72 receiving yards against the Falcons make him the first running back in NFL history to record 50-or-more receiving yards in each of his team's first seven games of a season. It also makes him the first running back in the NFL to register seven-consecutive games with 50-or-more receiving yards since he accomplished the feat in 2019 as a member of the Carolina Panthers.
