The Purdy family took to social media last week to share that they will soon be a family of four.
QB Brock Purdy and his wife, Jenna, announced they are expecting their second child, sharing the news in a joint Instagram post.
The announcement came July 29, almost exactly one year after the Purdys announced the birth of their first child, Millie Joleen. Since then, the Purdys have occasionally shared glimpses of their life as a family of three.
In September 2025, Purdy opened up to team reporter Briana Jeannel on an episode of "You’ve Got Mail" about how he and Jenna have approached balancing his responsibilities on the field with his role at home.
"Playing quarterback for the 49ers is my job," Purdy said. "And so with my training, Jenna taking care of things at home, and also us coming together and loving on our family and friends, we're keeping things as simple as we can."
Now just over a year after Millie's arrival, the Purdys are preparing to welcome another child, a new chapter that Purdy says has given him even more motivation.
"Having your own little family and doing everything you can, it's motivated me a lot more," Brock told NFL Network's Omar Ruiz and Ian Rapoport during NFL's "Back Together Weekend." "Also to see my wife hold it down back at home, she's the champion that no one sees."
The family milestone comes as Purdy enters his fifth season with the San Francisco 49ers, a little over a year after signing a five-year contract extension that solidified his place as the team's QB1. Now, with baby No. 2 on the way, it's Millie who gets to take on the exciting new role of big sister.
