The San Francisco 49ers have finalized their inactive list ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. With rosters limited to 48 active players on gameday, several players will be sidelined for the contest in the Big Apple.
After being listed as questionable entering the weekend, quarterback Brock Purdy is officially out for the Week 9 game. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers are moving forward with the plan for Mac Jones to start against the Giants. As for the offensive line, Jake Brendel and Ben Bartch are ruled out for the contest, however Spencer Burford was activated from the Injured Reserve list on Saturday afternoon.
On the defensive front, the 49ers will be without Yetur Gross-Matos and Bryce Huff, both ruled out for Week 9. Gross-Matos was placed on the team's Injured Reserve list over the weekend. Defensive linemen Jordan Elliott, Sam Okuayinonu, and linebacker Dee Winters were all questionable heading into Sunday's matchup, but their names are not listed on the team's gameday inactives list.
