Two of The Bay's biggest icons joined forces to announce the newest features to the NFL 2K Playmakers card battling mobile game. All-Pro dual-threat wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. was featured in NFL 2K's trailer for the latest "Gamechangers" mode on the app alongside Bay Area rap legend E-40.
In the trailer, E-40 stars as the head coach of NFL 2K Playmakers and Samuel Sr. stars as himself. E-40 "turns players into playmakers," and schools the San Francisco receiver on the "Four P's" of the game: players, positions, playbook and play your cards right. Later in the video, Samuel Sr. drops an E-40 bar and showcases the app's newest "Gamechangers" mode. Check out the video here:
In the app's latest "Gamechangers" mode, e-gamers can assemble their roster of NFL cards, make predictions on game outcomes and earn in-game rewards based on action during live NFL games, powered by real-time NFL data.
Samuel Sr. is featured as the cover athlete for Season 1 of the NFL 2K Playmakers' latest update.
On September 5, in celebration of the NFL's regular season kickoff, players of NFL 2K Playmakers will have a chance to use a new Gold Tier Deebo Samuel Card. The featured card of the Season 1 cover athlete is the first of the new uniquely themed NFL cards that will be released throughout the NFL season.
