Brock Purdy, Ricky Pearsall OUT vs. Falcons; Inactives for Week 7 'SNF' #ATLvsSF

The San Francisco 49ers have finalized their inactive list ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons at Levi's® Stadium. With rosters limited to 48 active players on gameday, several players will be sidelined for "Sunday Night Football."

Quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee) were both ruled out on Friday's injury report. With Purdy sidelined, Mac Jones is set to make his fifth start under center. Jones entered the week managing knee and oblique injuries but was a full participant in the team's final practices and does not carry a gameday designation.

The 49ers offense will also get a major boost with the return of tight end George Kittle, who was activated from the Injured Reserve list on Saturday. Kittle missed multiple weeks with a hamstring injury but was a full participant in the team's Friday practice and will not be on a snap count, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.

"George has rehabbed really well," Shanahan said. "He came back 100 percent, had a good week of practice, and we'll space it out throughout the game, but there's no pitch count."

On the defensive side, defensive lineman Yetur Gross-Matos (knee/hamstring) and linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) are among those unavailable for Week 7. Gross-Matos was ruled out on Friday, and Warner was placed on the Injured Reserve list on Saturday. Defensive tackle Kevin Givens (pectoral) has been activated from Injured Reserve and is expected to make his 2025 season debut.

Additional roster moves announced on Saturday include the activation of wide receiver Malik Turner and offensive lineman Nick Zakelj from the practice squad (standard elevations), and the promotion of defensive lineman Trevis Gipson to the active roster.
