The San Francisco 49ers continue to be one of the most banged up teams in the NFL. Kyle Shanahan shared on Monday that the team will be missing two more of its starters in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos. Here's a full injury report from the team's head coach following Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
1. RBs Matt Breida and Jeff Wilson
Breida re-aggravated his ankle injury during pregame warmups and was ultimately removed from the game in the second half. He ran for just six yards on five carries and added three receptions for 51 yards.
Shanahan said that Breida will be out against the Broncos. It's the same ankle, but a new sprain according to Shanahan.
Jeff Wilson also injured his foot during Sunday's game in Seattle but returned to action. Shanahan classified Wilson as day-to-day. Health permitting, the undrafted rookie figures to be the 49ers bell cow running back against the Broncos. Wilson racked up 134 total yards against the Seahawks.
2. S Jaquiski Tartt
Tartt will also be out in Week 14 with the same shoulder injury that has hampered the majority of his season. It will mark the fifth game he's missed in 2018, all with the same injury. That means Antone Exum is likely to start at free safety with Marcell Harris remaining at strong safety.
Exum has a career high 26 tackles in 11 games this season (three starts). He also has one interception, a pick-six against Philip Rivers in Week 4.
3. LB Dekoda Watson
Watson is going on Injured Reserve with a torn calf suffered against the Seahawks. The linebacker began the season on IR Designated to Return with a hamstring injury. He totaled six tackles and two sacks in four games this season.
4. Tarvarius Moore
Moore left the game briefly with a jaw injury but returned to finish out the contest. The rookie corner should be good to go in Week 14. Moore has been limited to special teams work for the most part. Shanahan said that he'd like to get Moore additional reps at corner, but added that the rookie will have to earn that playing time in practice.
5. WR Marquise Goodwin
Goodwin isn't hurt, but he's been away from the team for the last two games due to personal reasons. Shanahan said that Goodwin has rejoined the team and is expected to play against the Broncos. That's great news for the 49ers depleted group of wide receivers.
6. WR Pierre Garçon, DB D.J. Reed and G Joshua Garnett
All three players missed Sunday's game and will be rechecked on Wednesday. Garçon (knee) has a chance to return against the Broncos and Reed is expected to be back in the lineup, according to Shanahan. Reed, like Exum, is a candidate to start in place of Tartt at free safety.
