U.S. Bank and 49ers Announce Partnership

U.S. Bank and the San Francisco 49ers today announced a new partnership that will give young 49ers fans a chance to be the ?U.S. Bank Coin Flip Kid? at every 49ers home game. At five of the remaining home games, beginning November 1, a young fan between the ages of 6 and 13, selected from entries received at 49ers.com, will receive two tickets to the game, a parking pass, tickets to the pre-game 49ers tailgate, and the opportunity to accompany team captains to midfield for the coin flip.

At this Sunday?s game, October 11, against the Atlanta Falcons, U.S. Bank will donate the opportunity to be the U.S. Bank Coin Flip Kid to an organization that it has supported for many years ?Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF). Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco has selected Daneil, a 12-year-old student at Marina Middle School to be the ?U.S. Bank Coin Flip Kid? because he has been an active member of the Boys & Girls Club for more than five years and he maintains a 3.5 grade point average.

?We are really excited that U.S. Bank provided one of our youth members with this opportunity,? noted BGCSF president Rob Connolly. ?This is a great way to acknowledge Daneil?s stellar academic record and involvement with the Club?s swim team and school basketball team.?

In addition to radio and program ads that will demonstrate U.S. Bank?s support of the Bay Area and the 49ers, U.S. Bank will also be the presenting sponsor of the 49ers November 12 home game against Chicago. At that game, all fans in attendance will receive a limited edition poster featuring the six 2009 49ers captains: Vernon Davis, Eric Heitmann, Michael Robinson, Justin Smith, Takeo Spikes and Joe Staley.

?We are proud to bring U.S. Bank into our family,? said Andy Dolich, 49ers chief operating officer. ?The fact that they stepped up to provide fans with this giveaway item says a lot about their commitment to our fans.?

?We are pleased to partner with such an important part of our community, with such a rich tradition, as the San Francisco 49ers,? noted Michael Walker, U.S. Bank Northern California market president. ?We are ecstatic about the opportunity the U.S. Bank Coin Flip Kid provides the Bay Area youth, and pleased that we could give one of those opportunities to our long time partner, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco.?
