On this day, 49ers wide receiver Dave Parks had a career-high day, catching nine passes for 231 yards, a 49ers record at the time, and three touchdowns against the Baltimore Colts.

Parks was San Francisco's first-round draft selection in 1964. He finished the 1965 season as the NFL's leading receiver in three categories with 80 receptions, 1,344 yards and 12 touchdowns. Parks was a three-time Pro Bowl player during four seasons (1964-1967) in San Francisco.
