September 15, 1946

On this day in The Bay, the 49ers beat the Miami Seahawks, 21-14 to claim their first regular season victory in franchise history.

Running back Dick Renfro had a career-best rushing day as he plowed through the Seahawks defense for three touchdowns. Only 17,500 fans were on hand at Kezar Stadium to watch the two All-America Football Conference teams meet for the only time in San Francisco.
