The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed DL Andrew Farmer II to the practice squad. In order to make room on the practice squad, the team released LB Stone Blanton.
Farmer II (6-4, 250) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. Throughout his three-year career with the Chargers (2023-24) and Denver Broncos (2024-25), he has appeared in eight games and registered three tackles. Farmer II signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Broncos on January 13, 2025, and was released by the team on August 25.
A 25-year-old native of Jacksonville, FL, Farmer II attended Lane College for two seasons (2021-22) where he appeared in 18 games and registered 114 tackles, 44 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, five passes defensed and two forced fumbles.
Blanton (6-1, 227) signed to the team's practice squad on October 22, 2025.
