Where to Watch the 2020 NFL Draft: A Guide for 49ers Faithful

The 2020 NFL Draft will look a little different this year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the three-day event will be held virtually for players, coaches and fans. Besides the televised broadcast, the 49ers social platforms will be packed full of coverage before, during and after the draft gets underway.

Here's everything 49ers Faithful need to know to watch the 2020 NFL Draft:

Where Can I Watch the Draft?

The NFL Draft will be streamed live on NFL Network, ESPN and ABC. ESPN and NFL Network will combine to offer a singular presentation across both networks, while ABC will present its own prime-time telecasts for rounds 1-3, in addition to simulcasting the ESPN and NFL Network telecast of rounds 4-7. ESPN Deportes will also provide exclusive Spanish-language coverage of the 2020 NFL Draft. Commentators include Monday Night Football voices Eduardo Varela and Pablo Viruega.

What Time Does the Draft Start?

  • Thursday, April 23: Round 1 (5 p.m. PT)
  • Friday, April 24: Rounds 2-3 (4 p.m. PT)
  • Saturday, April 25: Rounds 4-7 (9 a.m. PT)

What Picks Do the 49ers Have?

The 49ers own five picks in the Draft. After a trade with the Indianapolis Colts, the 49ers picked up their second first-round pick in exchange for defensive lineman, and former first-round selection, DeForest Buckner. Currently, San Francisco does not have any Day 2 picks following trades with the Kansas City Chiefs for Dee Ford and the Denver Broncos for Emmanuel Sanders. Barring any trades, here are the 49ers 2020 Draft selections.

Who Did the 49ers Select in Round 1?

With the 14th-overall pick, San Francisco selected defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw. The South Carolina product earned first-team Associated Press All-America and first-team All-SEC honors as a senior following a dominant 2019 season. At No. 25, the 49ers selected wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk from Arizona State. The 6-foot, 205-pound receiver garnered third-team Associated Press All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2019 after leading the Sun Devils with 65 receptions for 1,192 yards and eight scores.
