Nick Bosa, Tevin Coleman Up for Week 8 NFL Awards

Another week, another league-wide recognition for San Francisco's rookie pass rusher. On Sunday, Nick Bosa registered a career-high three sacks, four total tackles, three tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, three tackles for loss, a pass breakup and his first-career interception for 46 yards in the Week 8 win over the Carolina Panthers. His performance in the San Francisco 49ers 51-13 victory earned him his third Pepsi Rookie of the Week nomination.

Bosa is up against five-time Rookie of the Week winner Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery and Jaguars defensive end Josh Allen.

Fans can vote for Bosa at NFL.com/rookies through Friday at 12 p.m. PT. The Pepsi Rookie of the Week will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.

Bosa wasn't the only member of the 49ers to earn recognition following the Week 8 win. Tevin Coleman is up for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week following his four touchdown, 118 total-yard performance against Carolina.

Coleman rushed for 105 yards and career-high tying three touchdowns on 11 carries (9.5 average) and added two receptions for 13 yards and a receiving score. He became the first player in franchise history to register three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown in the same game. Coleman's four total scores on the day were the most by a member of the 49ers since Jerry Rice had four receiving touchdowns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Nov. 1993).

Coleman is up against Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery and Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner for the weekly honor. Voting is open until Thursday at 12:00 p.m. PT at NFL.com/FedEx. Fans can also vote on Twitter using the NFL published polls.
