SEATTLE – For a second consecutive week, Jon Baldwin and LaMichael James were among San Francisco's seven inactive players, announced 90 minutes before the 49ers divisional contest against the Seattle Seahawks on "Sunday Night Football."
Baldwin, the third-year receiver acquired by the 49ers for former first-round draft pick A.J. Jenkins, will be inactive for a second week in a row as he continues to learn the offensive playbook behind the scenes. James, San Francisco's second-round section in 2012, will be out of the game nursing a knee injury.
James was the only player listed on the 49ers injury report this week.
San Francisco's other inactive players included, former Seahawks wide receiver Chris Harper, rookie quarterback B.J. Daniels, guard Joe Looney, defensive tackle Tony Jerod-Eddie and linebacker Nate Stupar.
Jerod-Eddie was active in the team's Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers, but will be inactive with the return of third-year defensive tackle Demarcus Dobbs, who was suspended for the opening game of the 2013 season.
For Seattle, the biggest name on the inactive sheet is starting cornerback Brandon Browner.
The physical cornerback will be out for a second consecutive week. Walter Thurmond will get the start once again in his place.
Also for the Seahawks, defensive end Chris Clemons (knee) will be inactive.
Seattle rounded out the inactive list with safety Jeron Johnson, running back Christine Michael, tackle Michael Bowie, tackle Alvin Bailey and defensive tackle Jordan Hill.
The rain has been off and on all day, but is expected to return to make things even more interesting in the NFC West battle.
A select number of players are on the field warming up, including San Francisco's specialists.
