Updated Reports on 49ers Search for a New GM/Head Coach

Take a look at each potential general manager/head coach who has met with the 49ers, in order of when they took the interview.

The search for the next head coach and general manager of the San Francisco 49ers is headed into its second weekend.

Of the five coaches interviewed by the 49ers, New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan are still on the table. Sean McVay (Los Angeles Rams), Sean McDermott (Buffalo Bills) and Anthony Lynn (Los Angeles Chargers) have all been hired elsewhere. There are also reports that Seattle Seahawks offensive line coach/assistant head coach Tom Cable is a prospective candidate for the 49ers job.

All seven candidates for GM remain available: Eliot Wolf, Brian Gutekunst, Jimmy Raye III, George Paton, Brandon Beane, Louis Riddick and Terry McDonough.

Below is a collection of tweets from various national reporters (and one high-profile player) regarding the state of the 49ers search for a new general manager and head coach.
