Day 1 of the 2018 Senior Bowl is in the books. The players arrived and went through weigh-ins, media availablity and their first practice. We've collected a series of tweets from draft analysts who were on hand in Mobile, Ala., to recap what transpired. Both the North and South teams took part in their first of three practices from Ladd Peebles Stadium.
Here's a look at which prospects stood out on Tuesday.

Some standouts for me at the Senior Bowl weigh-in (in no specific order): Dallas Goedert, Brandon Parker, Harrison Phillips and Allen Lazard.

So Oklahoma State WR James Washington, who is under 5-11, has arms (33 7/8") about as long as PSU TE Mike Gesicki (34") who is north of 6-foot-5. No wonder he played so big on 50-50 balls.#SeniorBowl

"As long as I'm going fast and making plays this week, they're going to forget how many hands I have."#SeniorBowl
I think Davenport finished with one rep at DE and two at DT. Interesting to note moving forward.

Some great one on one battles between Isaiah Wynn/Georgia and DaShawn Hand/Alabama in early going of #SeniorBowl practice
— Draft Analyst (@DraftAnalyst1) January 23, 2018
Prospects who have impressed early during 1-on-1s: #Georgia OG Isaiah Wynn, #Alabama OC Bradley Bozeman, #KansasState WR Byron Pringle. #HumboldtState OT Alex Cappa also more than holding his own so far.

UTSA DE Marcus Davenport (6-foot-6, 259 pounds) has already shown flashes of his power at the Senior Bowl workouts, both during individual drills and one-on-one pass rush. Davenport's technique is still raw on film, but he has natural strength at the... https://t.co/vcQIiVj1h5

Kameron Kelly is going to see a lot of reps at both safety and corner this week. Versatile DB with length
— Connor Rogers (@ConnorJRogers) January 23, 2018
Two long TDs in 1-on-1s from (late-add) Kansas State WR Byron Pringle. Coverage was tight each time, especially by Levi Wallace. Pringle waited until the last second to extend his arms to make the grab.

Love how the South team is using Jeremy Reaves at both corner and safety.
— Jonah Tuls (@JonahTulsNFL) January 23, 2018
Best corner today: MJ Stewart
Best receiver today: Byron Pringle
James Washington has been good vs press coverage, and I like how patient Chandon Sullivan was.
Very early but thought Lauletta from Richmond and Silvers from Troy looked a lot better throwing than White and Benkert, who had more buzz coming in
— Connor Rogers (@ConnorJRogers) January 23, 2018
Virginia DL Andrew Brown has been dominant today. His burst, leverage, technique and power has overwhelmed blockers. Living in the backfield. Super disruptive. #Cavs

North team receivers are having a hard time catching passes from Josh Allen. Too much power at times.
— Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) January 23, 2018
Even during practice, you can see how detail-oriented #IowaState WR Allen Lazard is with his movements. He is battling some early drops, however...

Harrison Phillips/Stanford dominating opponents
— Tony Pauline (@TonyPauline) January 23, 2018
Seeing U.T.E.P. OG Will Hernandez vs. Stanford DT Harrison Phillips matched up in 1-on-1’s in “The Pit” is on my 2018 Senior Bowl bucket list.
— Scott Wright (@DraftCountdown) January 23, 2018
Kyzir White/DB/West Virginia has looked strong in coverage against tight ends, breaking up multiple passes and showing the strength to hold up on initial contact #SeniorBowl
— Draft Analyst (@DraftAnalyst1) January 23, 2018
Baker Mayfield's arm strength is really popping so far. Ball carries zip all the way to his targets. Nose of the ball never dips. Especially notable when throwing out routes. #SeniorBowl
— Joe Marino (@TheJoeMarino) January 23, 2018
#UTEP OG Will Hernandez is easy to spot. Just look for the defensive lineman violently moving backwards.
— Dane Brugler (@dpbrugler) January 23, 2018
Everybody focusing on Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen.
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) January 23, 2018
Quietly Tanner Lee had the best day 1.
Jeremiah: Michael Joseph the official winner of 1-on-1s the first day at the Senior Bowl.
— Jeff Risdon (@JeffRisdon) January 23, 2018
Fort Hays State DL Nathan Shepherd has me jonesing for some of his game tape. He looks good!!!
— Kyle Crabbs (@NDTScouting) January 23, 2018
Get some Ogunjobi vibes early on.
Dooley plays with his hands above his eyes so well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a daily “riser”
