Day 1 of the 2019 Senior Bowl is in the books for Kyle Shanahan, the San Francisco 49ers coaching staff and the South Team. The players arrived and went through weigh-ins, media availability and their first practice. We've collected a series of tweets from draft analysts who were on hand in Mobile, Ala., to recap what transpired. The South and North Teams also took part in their first of three practices from Ladd Peebles Stadium.
Here's a look at which prospects stood out on Tuesday.
Deebo Samuel patience, change of pace and vertical separation for 6 during 1 on 1 periods #SeniorBowl pic.twitter.com/Zx67FNyf8a

Tytus Howard again. Stopped Jon Ledbetter dead in his tracks. #SeniorBowl
— Tony Pauline (@TonyPauline) January 22, 2019
Really good separation by Josh Oliver and Dax Raymond so far in 1v1s. Darius West has struggled
— Jon Ledyard (@LedyardNFLDraft) January 22, 2019
David Sills is catching everything. Really like what Jarrett Stidham is showing so far.
— Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) January 22, 2019
Deebo Samuel looks great so far during the early portions of practice. Smooth, under control, and catching everything with his hands.

OL-DL one on ones:
— Chris Trapasso (@ChrisTrapasso) January 22, 2019
Andre Dillard stones Jaylon Ferguson ,then Ferguson wins the next time they face off
Then Dillard stonewalls Sweat
Couple good anchor reps from Elgton Jenkins and Tytus Jackson too
Gardner Minshew/QB/Washington State getting the ball out quickly and accurately. Beat the South’s two best corners so far (Lonnie Johnson and Rock Ya-Sin on consecutive nine routes. #seniorbowl
— Draft Analyst (@DraftAnalyst1) January 22, 2019
Hunter Renfrow’s stop-start ability and quick twitch in routes are unreal. He’s been unguardable and impossible to jam at the LOS.
— Jordan Reid (@JReidNFL) January 22, 2019
Washington State OT Andre Dillard is silky smooth.
— Joe Marino (@TheJoeMarino) January 22, 2019
Anthony Johnson was the best WR I noticed in one on ones against CBs. Caught passes at each depth. Beat press well. Physical.
— Chris Trapasso (@ChrisTrapasso) January 22, 2019
Elgton Jenkins just throw a DL to the ground. Two solid reps from him. Really lowered his pads. Carl Granderson with back to back wins (though not a clear cut W). Good inside move then bull rush to inside rip. John Ledbetter too good reps vs. B.J. Autry.

Montez Sweat making it look easy out here. Heavy and active hands. Good burst off snap. Quick feet.
— Christian Page (@_ChristianPage) January 22, 2019
Swear has the making of a top 10 pick.
Andre Dillard not off to a great start. Sweat and Jaylon Ferguson beating him with inside quickness. #SeniorBowl | #NFLDraft
#AlabamaState OT Tytus Howard holding up really well in 1-on-1’s. Just like his Auburn tape, he doesn’t look out of place vs. top competition. Easy player to like.

Here’s the rep I was just referring to from Montez Sweat. Very impressive. https://t.co/fhle1AowMG

Two Friday night LBs making plays Bobby Okereke and David Long.
— Chad Reuter (@chad_reuter) January 22, 2019
Would-be sack by Montez Sweat on Tyree Jackson. He beat Oli Udoh quickly. But Jackson fired a strike on deep cross to David Sills. Then hit Hunter Renfrow on sideline comeback.

Charles Omenihu reminds me so much of Emmanuel Ogbah.

Dalton Risner/Kansas St beaten badly on consecutive snaps. Beaten by power of Zack Allen then quickness of LJ Collier. #SeniorBowl

Jones has quicker eyes than Lock, Lock has a quicker reset and stronger arm.
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) January 22, 2019
