It was a big moment for "Nerd Nation."

Stanford's 26-20 win over Oregon on Thursday night, not only provided entertainment on the field, it caused quite a stir on social media.

The members of the 49ers locker room are always talking about their schools on social media, but the matchup of teams ranked in the top-5 inspired what was perhaps the most memorable night of tweets and Instragrams by San Francisco's players about a college football game.

Prior to the game, LaMichael James was outspoken about his alma mater being victorious in a matchup of Pac 12 powers, but it turned out that Michael Thomas' Stanford club was too physical at the point of attack.

The two players posed for a classic post-game photo which included Thomas sporting the trendy “Nerd Nation” glasses, ripped from the classic film, "Revenge of the Nerds."

Here are the highlights on the Stanford-Oregon matchup from members of the 49ers locker room.
