San Francisco 49ers Draft USC C Marcus Martin

The San Francisco 49ers selected USC center Marcus Martin with the 70th overall pick in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-3, 320-pound lineman was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection in 2013.

Martin started 10 games at left guard for the Trojans in 2012. He started 13 games at center in 2013.

Martin was the last player in attendance at Radio City Music Hall to be drafted. He walked across the stage and had his opportunity to hug commissioner Roger Goodell.

"I'm just blessed for this opportunity," Martin said. "I'm honored."

The 49ers still have three more selections in the third round of the draft, 77th, 94th and 100th overall.

Here's the USC offensive lineman's scouting report courtesy of NFL.com:

Thick and wide-bodied. Walls off and seals defenders. Can work his hips to maneuver and seal. Athletic enough to step to the second level. Plays with his head on a swivel. Good anchor ability in pass protection -- can dig his cleats in the ground vs. big-bodied pluggers and match size with size. Three-year starter with experience at guard and center. Was a 20-year-old junior
