The San Francisco 49ers selected SMU cornerback Kenneth Acker with the 180th overall selection in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot, 190-pound cornerback started in all 12 games for the Mustangs in 2013, finishing seventh on the team with 46 tackles.
Acker is the third cornerback drafted by the 49ers on day three of the draft and the fourth defensive back selected this year San Francisco.
Here's the scouting report on the SMU product courtesy of NFL.com:
Very good size. Clean footwork, fluid hips and good balance in his pedal. Good coverage instincts. Sorts out route combos and reacts to the thrown ball. Good route recognition, anticipation and ball production. Has a 36-inch vertical jump and adjusts well to the ball in the air. Plays with confidence. Willing in run support.
