Reuben Foster Named to PFWA All-Rookie Team

For the second-consecutive season, the San Francisco 49ers have had a first-year player named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team. Last year, it was DeForest Buckner. Now it's Reuben Foster.

Foster racked up 72 tackles despite playing in just 10 games. The talented linebacker suffered an ankle injury just 11 plays into the regular season and didn't return until Week 7. He came back with a vengeance, however, winning the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Month Award in November.

Pro Football Focus graded Foster's standout rookie season as the second-best among first-year players behind only Buffalo Bills corner Tre'Davious White.

Jarrad Davis of the Detroit Lions and T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers were the other linebackers to make the all-rookie team. Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was named 2017 Rookie of the Year. Click here for the full rundown.
