The San Francisco 49ers added a pair of first-round talents to their roster on Thursday night.
After selecting Oregon defensive lineman DeForest Buckner with the No. 7 overall pick, the team traded back into the opening round at No. 28 in a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
With that extra pick, the 49ers took a local Bay Area product in Stanford guard Joshua Garnett.
Here's how social media reacted to San Francisco bulking up in the trenches:
About to take off and saw we picked someone else. Congrats Joshua! He has the shortest trip ever — Torrey Smith (@TorreySmithWR) April 29, 2016
