NaVorro Bowman, Joe Staley Named to the 2016 Pro Bowl

San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman and tackle Joe Staley have been selected to participate in the 2016 Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Guard/tackle Alex Boone was selected as an alternate.

A six-year veteran, Bowman is making his third trip to the Pro Bowl (2013 & 2014). After missing the entire 2014 season due to injury, he returned to action this year and leads the team with 129 tackles, while adding 2.0 sacks and two passes defensed. A first-team All-Pro selection in 2011-13, Bowman is tied for the NFL lead with 136 total tackles in 2015, according to gamebook statistics. Bowman has played in 78 games (63 starts) since being drafted by the 49ers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Staley is making his fifth consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl and has anchored the 49ers offensive line since being drafted by the team in the first-round (28th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. In his ninth NFL season, Staley has started each of the team's 14 games this season and every game since 2011.
