According to multiple reports, 49ers All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman is undergoing surgery on his left knee.

CSNBayArea.com's Matt Maiocco was first with the news.

Maiocco speculates that there's no timetable for Bowman's return just yet. The 49ers linebacker injured his knee in the team's NFC Championship game loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

"It's possible - but certainly not guaranteed - that he could be available for the start of the regular season," Maiocco wrote.

More 49ers headlines can be found in today's Morning Tailgate, presented by State Farm.
