Marcus Lattimore Trains with Sammy Watkins

Forget their college rivalry for a moment. It appears as though Marcus Lattimore has no hard feelings towards NFL Draft hopeful Sammy Watkins.

The San Francisco 49ers running back recently posted a post-workout photograph alongisde the top-ranked receiver prospect for the 2014 draft.

Lattimore and Watkins competed for South Carolina and Clemson, respectively. Both players, however, never faced each other in college. Lattimore suffered knee injuries prior to the Clemson-South Carolina rivalry games in 2011 and 2012.

Despite their school's being long-time competitors, both popular players seemed to be in good spirits in the photo posted on Lattimore's Twitter account.

Lattimore was recently selected as one of San Francisco's top 20 offseason storylines to track when the team's offseason program begins on April 21. The second-year running back should be quite busy this offseason. He also announced dates for his youth football camp.
