Kyle Shanahan Provides Injury Update on Jaquiski Tartt

The San Francisco 49ers came out of their Week 2 win against the Detroit Lions relatively clear injury wise. Jaquiski Tartt was the one exception. The 49ers strong safety left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury during the Lions final drive.

Kyle Shanahan said that Tartt is day-to-day with what he referred to as a shoulder stinger. Tartt was dealing with a similar injury all of last week but was able make it through most of the game against Detroit. He posted five tackles before exiting. Antone Exum filled in for Tartt on the final six plays of the game. He'd be the likely starter if Tartt is unable to go in Week 3. Shanahan said that Jimmie Ward would also be an option depending on how practice goes this week.
