Eric Reid on Ballot for Pepsi's Rookie Honor

If Eric Reid kees playing the way he did in Week 1 -- and 49ers coaches believe he will -- the accolades will come.

Reid, San Francisco's first-round pick last April, is already up for one. After securing an interception and recording six tackles in his team's 34-28 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, he is in the mix to be named the Pepsi Next Rookie of The Week.

As the lone defensive player on the ballot, Reid is competing with New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, Buffalo Bills quarterback EJ Manuel, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills and Miami Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis.
