CB Darryl Morris Promoted to Active Roster

The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have promoted CB Darryl Morris from the team's practice squad to the active roster. The team also announced that LB D'Aundre Reedhas been added to the practice squad.

Morris(5-10, 188) was originally signed by the 49ers on May 7, 2013, and was later released following training camp. He was signed to the team's practice squad on September 2.

A 23-year-old native of San Antonio, TX, Morris played collegiately at Texas State, where he registered 223 tackles, five interceptions, 16.5 tackles for loss and 26 passes defensed during his Bobcats career.

Reed(6-4, 260) was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round (215th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He has appeared in six career games, primarily on special teams. Reed was released by the Vikings on September 9, 2013.

A 25-year-old native of Moreno Valley, CA, Reed played at the University of Arizona where he appeared in 47 games, registering 83 tackles and 6.0 sacks for the Wildcats.
