Baas Signs Tender

The San Francisco 49ers announced that G David Baas has signed the one-year contract he had previously been tendered. Baas became a restricted free agent following the 2009 season.

Baas (6-4, 330) was a second-round selection (33rd overall) by the 49ers in the 2005 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 76 career games with 38 starts, the last 25 of which came at left guard. Last season, Baas was named the 2009 recipient of the Bobb McKittrick Award, given to the 49ers offensive lineman who best represents courage, intensity and sacrifice as selected by his fellow offensive linemen.

The 28-year old, University of Michigan product is a native of Riverview, FL.
