The San Francisco 49ers have waived/injured OL Ben Gottschalk.
Gottschalk (6-5, 293) originally signed with San Francisco on June 6, 2015. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on May 19, 2014 and was waived on August 27. Gottschalk was signed to the Chiefs practice squad on September 1, and was waived on September 9. He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on April 8, 2015, and was later waived by the team on May 28.
A 23-year-old native of Sherman Oaks, CA, Gottschalk played collegiately at Southern Methodist University, appearing in 47 games (24 starts) along the offensive line.
