49ers to Host Denver Broncos for Preseason Joint Practice

For the third consecutive season, the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos will take part in at least one joint training camp practice. The 49ers confirmed on Monday that the Broncos will come to the Bay Area for a session at the SAP Performance Facility prior to the Week 2 preseason contest at Levi's® Stadium.

The 49ers had previously spent a few extra days in Denver in 2015 and 2016 for a pair of practices from the Broncos UCHealth Training Center. San Francisco hosted the Houston Texans last year for one practice last August as well.

General manager John Lynch as well vice president of player personnel Adam Peters both have notable ties to the Broncos organization. Lynch played in Denver for four years and Peters just came over from the Broncos front office in February.

The dates and times for the practice and game are still to be determined. The tentative preseason schedule says that the contest will take place between Aug. 17-21. It's likely that the practice will take place two days prior to the game.
