49ers to Honor Veterans

The San Francisco 49ers will give tribute to veterans and members of the military in honor of Veteran's Day during this Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams on November 14, 2010, recognizing those who have served our country in the armed forces.

The 49ers are providing select veterans with discounted tickets to the game and in partnership with Budweiser the 49ers are donating a luxury box to Bay Area American Legion for use by San Francisco area veterans. Veterans of Foreign Wars will make up the color guard presenting the flag during the National Anthem and 49ers coaches, owners and staff members will be wearing commemorative limited edition 49ers Veterans Day pins.

In addition, the 49ers will be honoring veterans of the military at the December 12th "Hometown Heroes" themed home game against the Seattle Seahawks. During a pregame recognition ceremony, wounded veterans affiliated with the "Wounded Warriors Project" will be saluted for their bravery.

Additionally, the Seahawks game on December 12th will feature a color guard consisting of members of a variety of branches of the military and discounted tickets for veterans, while coaches, owners and 49ers staff will be wearing the 49ers Veterans Day pins.
