The San Francisco 49ers announced Wednesday they have signed T Xavier Fulton to the team's practice squad.

He spent the 2009 season on the Injured Reserve List and was released by the Buccaneers following the 2010 training camp. Fulton was signed to the Indianapolis Colts practice squad on September 6, only to be released on September 18.

Fulton, a 24-year-old native of Chicago, IL, starred collegiately at Illinois where he earned All-Big 10 second-team honors in 2008 and 2009.
