49ers Sign Draft Pick Eric Reid

The San Francisco 49ers have signed S Eric Reid to a four-year deal.

Reid (6-1, 213) was selected in the first round (18th overall) by the 49ers in this year's draft out of Louisiana State University. He played in 39 games (29 starts) for the Tigers and amassed 199 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 11 passes defensed. A two-time All-SEC Honor Roll selection, he became just the second LSU safety in school history to be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

In 2012, Reid started all 13 games and tallied 91 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and seven passes defensed. Reid's play earned him All-America and First-Team All-SEC honors.

A 22-year-old native of Baton Rouge, LA, Reid attended Dutchtown High School.

The 49ers have now signed all 11 of their 2013 draft picks.
