49ers Re-Sign LB Green

The San Francisco 49ers announced that LB Roderick Green has re-signed with the team. Green was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on February 29. Terms of the contract were not announced.

Green (6-2, 274) is a four-year veteran who has seen action in 41 career games after originally being selected in the fifth round (153rd pick overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He has spent the past two seasons with the 49ers, playing in seven games in 2007 and nine games in 2006. Green posted three tackles and two sacks last season after posting nine tackles and 4.5 sacks in 2006. He played his first two seasons with the Ravens, seeing action in nine contests as a rookie and 16 contests in 2005.
