The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that they have signed sixth-round draft choice WR Josh Morgan. Terms of the contract were not announced by the team.
Morgan (6-0, 219) played college football at Virginia Tech and led the team as a senior with 46 receptions and averaged 12 yards per catch with five touchdowns.
Morgan is the first of the 49ers six 2008 draft picks to sign a contract.
