49ers Conduct State of the Franchise

On Monday, February 16, the San Francisco 49ers are hosting the first annual State of the Franchise from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Tickets for this exclusive event were snapped up by season tickets holders in just two days. To provide additional fans the opportunity to receive insights and updates about the State of the Franchise in real time, the 49ers are streaming a live webcast of the event available at 49ers.com.

The event will offer an opportunity for fans to hear directly from Team President, Jed York; Head Coach, Mike Singletary; General Manager, Scot McCloughan; and COO, Andy Dolich.

The night will be emceed by the new radio voice of the 49ers, Ted Robinson, who will be making his first appearance for the team behind the microphone.

York will open the event by discussing his new role as President of the Club and speak to the direction of the team's future and how he sees the franchise getting back to its winning ways. He will also provide insight into the decision making process on hiring Head Coach Mike Singletary and why Coach Singletary is the right person for the job.

Following York, Dolich will take the stage to speak about the total fan experience and how the 49ers are listening to the Faithful and are working to make the fan experience at games the best it can be. Dolich will touch on the latest enhancements made to Candlestick and future improvements to come.

With the NFL Combine, free agency and draft just around the corner, many fans are wondering how the 2009 49ers roster will take shape. General Manager Scot McCloughan will be on hand to touch on all three of these subjects, while also shedding light on the team's current personnel and how he plans to put the right pieces in place for the upcoming season.

Rounding out the speaker lineup for the night will be Head Coach Mike Singletary. As many fans are aware, the coaching staff now consists of a few new additions including offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye, quarterbacks coach Mike Johnson, running back coach Tom Rathman, linebackers coach Vantz Singletary and pass rushing coach Al Harris. Coach Singletary will discuss how he's built a coaching staff to lead the team to success, in addition to recapping the end of last season and his vision for 2009.

Once the speakers have concluded, Robinson will open up the floor to questions from fans. Questions will come from pre-submitted questions by season tickets as they registered for the event, questions written by fans while at the event and live questions from the audience.
