Will 49ers See Tevin Coleman, Jimmie Ward On 'Monday Night Football' vs. Browns?

Both Tevin Coleman and Dee Ford are active ahead of San Francisco's Monday night contest against the Cleveland Browns. Coleman returned to practice last week after missing two contests with an ankle injury suffered in the first half of the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ford was questionable leading into Monday while dealing with ongoing knee tendinitis. Kyle Shanahan foresees the edge rusher to regularly appear on the weeks injury report, as Ford is likely to require offseason surgery.

Jimmie Ward will make his regular season debut after suffering a broken finger ahead of Week 1. Ward wore a bulky cast to protect his hand through the first three weeks of practices and has downgraded to a smaller protective cover.

Here's a look at who will be inactive in tonight's primetime matchup:

49ers

Browns

  • WR Taywan Taylor
  • DB Denzel Ward
  • DB Greedy Williams
  • DB Sheldrick Redwine
  • DE Genard Avery
  • OL Kendall Lamm
  • WR Rashard Higgins

Cleveland will be without both of their starting cornerbacks on Monday night, as Williams and Ward are each dealing with hamstring issues for the third week in a row. Terrance Mitchell and T.J. Carrie have seen reps at corner in their absence.
