49ers Announce Two Roster Moves

The San Francisco 49ers announced on Wednesday that they have waived/injured linebacker Jayson DiManche (dih-MAHNCH) and placed linebacker Donavin Newsom on the Injured Reserve List.

DiManche (6-1, 235) rejoined the 49ers on August 5, 2017 after being released on May 2. Newsom (6-2, 240) originally signed with the team as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 4, 2017 out of the University of Missouri. With the Tigers, he finished his career with 165 tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
